Cinco de Mayo Festivities Liven up Centerpointe
The Cinco de Mayo Luncheon at Centerpointe was a fun fiesta full of delicious food,
live entertainment, colorful decorations, and student organizations!
The menu included a wide variety of traditional and vegan Mexican food items such
as shredded chicken and avocado tortas, taquitos with guacamole, shrimp enchiladas, cauliflower ceviche, sopes, nopales salad, street corn, mini conchas, churros and much more!
Entertainment was provided by local Folklorico dancers from Tradición Dance Company and live music from a Norteño band. Student clubs and organizations such as Hermanos Unidos, Latin Business Students’ Association, César E. Chavez for Higher Education, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Male Success Initiative and CPP Dining all tabled at the event, providing information about their resources on campus and offering fun crafts and giveaways for attendees.
